PROJECT ECO ECHO FINISHED

With the last day of 2012. project Eco Echo finished its realization. The aim of project was to inform and educate public about enviromental problems on local, regional and national level and to motivate public on active participation in solving this problems.
Project was financed by National Foundation for Civil Society Development.
Project had a multimedia approach:
– broadcasting of 15 minute radio show on radio Mrežnica and published on free web radio station: STANICA M.I.R.
– column “Little Green Corner” on website Kaportal

During project a 30 radio shows were broadcasted. Listeners could ask questions about environment and nature protection. With this project a total number of calls on Green Phone line was 2 and half time increased.

ECO ECHO 21

In most recent radio show in the info block we have invited citizens to volunteer in the Green phone programm and illegal waste deposit cleaning at Dubovac. In the following thematic blocks we received three calls. First call referred to the plan of building underground garage in The Town Sixpointed Star and the caller agreed with the idea of building it. Another call reported a neglected environment around the Drežnik collector. By third call illegal waste deposit on Drežnik was reported. At the end of the show we gave answers to the previous calls.

ECO ECHO 20

In most recent radio show in info block, we reported on the conclusions of the Assembly of the Green Forum, announced a Little recycling factory and clarify the role of the AUDIO agency. In the following thematic blocks, we received a call, by which was reported Jamadol cemetery extend. We gave the answer to two calls from the previous shows.

After the summer break, we continue to broadcast :). In the latest radio show info block theme was Greens phone Network Croatia. In the following thematic blocks we received three calls. First call reported the location of ambrosia. Another call reported odors from Karlovačka Brewery complex. In the last part we gave the answer to one call from the previous shows.

ECO ECHO 17

In the latest radio show theme of info block was Influence of the Croatian accession to the European Union standards on environmental and health protection. Citizens were introduced with the rights and obligations of Croatia in mentioned topic. Topic was initiated by Eco Pan participation at the Final conference on environment and health in the EU, organized by Green Action.

In the latest Eco echo educational theme was exchange of old stuff at flea markets. In the following thematic part of radio show we received four calls. Two calls were related to the uncut grass, one application was about collecting pets facilities on public land, and the last call was related to the waste remained after construction works. In the last part we gave the answers to two questions from previous shows.

ECO ECHO 15

In the latest radio show theme in info block was removal of ambrosia from public and private areas, and invitation to the citizens to report areas under ambrosia.
We followed to educate citizens about ways to participate actively in the management of waste. We provided them with information on the relevant institutions to contact when they are confronted with the issue of waste, whether it relates to the improper disposal or places for separate collection. In the following thematic block we received two calls. The first complain was related to Čistoća Company, which collects the separated waste all in the same truck, and the other call is addressed to the same Company whos workers are after emptying containers leaving behind scattered waste.
In the last part of show we gave answers to three calls from previous shows.

ECO ECHO 14

This Eco echo started with info section with “Environment protection – World day” theme. We were talking about responsibilities and obligations arising from the protection of the environment. The radio show continue with education about ways to participate actively in the protection of green areas. We provided information to the citizens about relevant services that rhey can contact when they notice various examples of the devastation of green areas. In the following thematic block we received two calls. The first was related to the abandoned land, overgrown ambrosia, and a second call was about citizens who do not remove their pets’ waste.
At the end we invited citizens to participate in the regular Eco Pans activities such as second-hand fair.

ECO ECHO 13

This Eco echo started with info section with “Little recycling factory” theme. This is an educational project about the creative side of reusing waste. We have not received any calls from citizens, but we provided answers to the inquiries received in past radio shows. We found the answer about asbestos waste disposal, contact number and principles of handling.
The second response was related to the request of planting trees in the Zvonimirova street. The answer we received from the Zelenilo instructed citizens on several possible solutions.
